Announcing WLP’s collaboration with talented Ian Arber

WLP’s got incredibly good news today…

We’ve just commissioned composer/musician Ian Arber to create a unique and enthralling soundtrack for our documentary. Our aim is to have a soundtrack that is distinctive and hopefully memorable. We were very thankful for Ian reaching out to us, saying he was up for the challenge and that he had to be part of this ‘amazing’ project.

We had been keeping our eyes pealed for artists who could fit the bill experience and talent wise, so we were truly delighted when the right composer came along… Just like that!

Curious about Ian? Find out more about him below!

Ian Arber - Our new composer!

” Ian Arber is a composer for film and television based in London, England. Ian composed the score for Scott L. Schwartz’s (Ocean’s 11, 12, 13) directorial debut feature “Changing Hands”, Steve Spel’s Psychological Crime-Thriller feature “The Window”, Matthew Campbell’s award-winning short “To Save One’s Self” and TV-Series “Citizen”, and Arya Moghaddam’s short films “Kia” and “Ambulance”. Additionally, Ian has worked for companies including Samsung, BBC, NBC, ABC and Endemol.

Ian is a classically trained cello and piano player, often incorporating these live in his scores. He always looking to bring an organic and unique sound to his projects by recording live elements where possible and composing original themes with character.”

The WLP team

When is this finally going to change?

Our hard-working WLP filmmaking team generally likes to remain positive and uplifting… But today calls for a lil’ rant.

I am always baffled when I see articles from ‘credible reliable and well-respected sources spread around such non-sense… How long until they come around? I almost weep in despair when I come across what I call ‘a big name’ advocating for the consumption of grains, legumes and even dairy (the notorious ‘gray zone food’ of the Paleo eating plan).

http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/healthy-eating-plate/

The ‘Healthy Eating Plate’ still being advocated by the very organizations and entities that people look up to for guidance on healthy eating.

It’s impossible not to think that these entities are spreading misinformation galore and hence being an intricate part of the global health problem we see nowadays. Of course, one would have to research and find out about Harvard’s corporate sponsors to understand what their motives are for continuing to push such ideas on nutrition.

Part of me (Caroleen) cannot help but hope that one day, these influential groups, institution and organizations will choose to ignore the lure of the greenback and do what’s right: by (finally) communicating the right message. And it’s not only Harvard that’s guilty of this. Just see for yourself and run a google search for ‘guildelines healthy eating’. The list goes on and on.

Perhaps a lot of you guys in our awesome Paleo community will think this is utopia, but at the risk of sounding naive, I am willing to say that it is probably a matter of a couple decades before the mainstream starts scratching their collective head wondering: ”Wait a minute, what the heck were we thinking?”

I know I’m preaching to the choir here: most of you reading this have experienced first hand the benefits of a Paleo lifestyle for optimal health. However, for those who aren’t convinced about this lifestyle being the way to go, well I would strongly encourage you to read serious studies or books by reputable scientists such as Dr. Loren Cordain, Dr. Al Sears, Boyd Eaton, Michael Eades or more recently Food and Western Disease: Health and Nutrition from an Evolutionary Perspective by Staffan Lindberg.

Thankfully, there are thousands upon thousands of people out there who have literally been transformed by a pre-agricultural approach to eating. These beacons of light continue to inform and educate the ones that do want to know the truth about food and change their life for the better.

And for these guys, we’re internally grateful.
